A lifetime of gathered knowledge and training dogs and horses along with natural instincts has molded the training fashion implemented by Love’s Labradors.
For the last 4+ years, Love’s Labradors has been on the competition road proving own Labradors while training waterfowl and upland dogs along the way. Success measured by qualifying a 2-year-old for the 2010 AKC Master Nationals, and multiple friends dogs to successfully retrieve birds and for the family dog establishing good citizenship.
HUNTER AND DOG TRAINING DAYS
Well, now that this season is over other than the special February goose hunt, it is time to keep the gun cleaned and ready and bring your kid for a tune-up. Every season our 4-legged hunter picks up a few bad habits like breaking, creeping or even worse scenarios like eating the darn birds. So, before you get too far down the road thinking about other activities, let’s nip things in the bud now.
$50 a man per one dog plus cost of ducks ($15 per bird) and I figure 2-3 birds per hunter as we can rekill the dead ones and still get the action needed for the dogs. You will work your dog with all of your gear and firing your gun with dry loads alongside another hunter and dog while guys in the field will pop down the birds for you with live fire. We work the bugs out there! I also will go over with the group how to begin or to further the training for casting your dog for next season.
I limit the amount of hunters to 20 per day and only 4 hours. I supply the lunch as well but bring a cold one, and only one for the end of the day as we all need to make certain we make it home safe along with our 4-legged kid. Spectators, like family members and friends, are welcome but I need to know ahead of time so I can plan on the food and I will need $5 per person for the guests.
Pre-registration and prepaid is required.
